| GENERAL The latest development in the electronic area have been used for these battery chargers. The demand of the battery manufactures has been fulfilled, so the battery obtains highest possible capacity. N.B. The battery charger may only be connected to the DC voltage for which it is designed. (Look up the rating plate). RANGE OF APPLICATION Charging of: Lead/acid batteries Sealed maintenancefree batteries Ni-Cd batteries and so on CHARGING PRINCIPLE, WU Charges in accordance to DIN 41774/ 41773, decreasing current/constant voltage. ![]() CONNECTION 1. Connect the charging cable to the battery by a firm connection. 2. Connect the mains. The charging soft start (red and yellow LED 1 flashes) and after 5 seconds the charging is in function. (Red LED is illuminated). N.B. The battery charger may only be connected to the DC voltage for which it is designed. (Look up the rating plate). |
THE
CHARGING EVENT When the charging has started, the fullautomatic battery charger runs and controls the whole charging event. At consumption the battery charger charges automatically again. The event can be followed by the coloured LED's. ![]() Red LED: - illuminates by main charging - flashes by error Yellow LED 1: - illuminates when the given voltage has been reached Yellow LED 2: - illuminates by I < 30% Green LED: - illuminates when the battery is fully charged - flashes if low battery voltage - flashes for missing battery Red and yellow LED 1: - flashing while soft start (about 5 seconds) DISCONNECTION OF BATTERY Turn off the mains to the battery charger if you disconnect the battery. |
| LED INDICATION: | Back to menu: |
|
Red LED: - illuminates by main charging - flashes by error - flashes by to high battery voltage |
Mains and battery connected correct Battery voltage is higher than the adjusted value |
| Yellow
LED 1: - lilluminates when the given voltage has been reached |
The gassingpoint of the battery has been reached |
|
Yellow LED 2: - illuminates by I < 30% |
Main current is less than 30% of nominal current |
| Green
LED: - illuminates when the battery is fully charged - flashes if low battery voltage - flashes for missing battery |
The battery is ready for use The connected battery voltage < 0,5 V/C Battery is missing or incorrect connected |
|
Red and yellow LED 1: - flashes under soft start |
The processor is testing the programme and after about 5 seconds the main charging will start |
| Red
and green LED: - flashes by to high battery voltage while charging |
Battery voltage > 2,9V/C charging charging switches off |
| WU: | This way of charging can be used for lead/acid batteries, sealed maintenancefree batteries, Ni-Cd batteries and so on by marine and stationary purposes. |
| WU
have the following meaning: W : Weak decreasing current U : Constant voltage |
| Main charging will last until the battery is at the gassingpoint. At decreasing current the battery voltage will be held constant. When the charging current is about 30% of main current the yellow LED 2 will illuminate. At the end of the charging event (green LED illuminated) the charging is completed. If the battery remains connected to the battery charger it will get an equalizing current to maintain the battery voltage. At consumption look up section "THE CHARGING EVENT". |
